Dublin International Film Festival 2027
The Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF) returns from 18 to 28 February 2027, transforming the Irish capital into a vibrant hub of cinematic excellence for eleven unforgettable days. Founded in 2003, DIFF is one of the most iconic events in Ireland's cultural calendar, presenting a distinctive mix of Irish and international film to audiences from around the world.

Programme
Each year DIFF presents over 100 films from around the world, including features, documentaries and short films, with a strong focus on Irish premieres and emerging talent. The Volta Awards, named after Ireland's first cinema, are presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to world cinema. Past recipients include Paul Rudd, Ed Harris, Jessica Lange, Steve McQueen and Isabelle Huppert. Alongside the screenings, the festival hosts industry conferences, workshops and networking events, making DIFF a key gathering point for the European film industry.
Tickets
Tickets and festival passes are available via the official DIFF website. Standard screening tickets start from approximately €10. The festival offers 6- and 12-ticket bundles at discounted prices, allowing visitors to choose screenings flexibly as the programme is announced. Gala tickets and VIP passes are available separately. Industry passes are offered at a reduced cost for film professionals. Selected community screenings are free of charge. Visitor Tips
- Book early for popular screenings and galas, as they sell out quickly.
- The main venue, Light House Cinema, is located in Smithfield and easily reached by Luas (Red Line, Smithfield stop).

- Dublin in February is cool and often rainy; layer up and bring a waterproof jacket.
- Book accommodation several months in advance as the city is busy during the festival.
