Welcome to the Ducksteinfest in Königslutter
On 3 and 4 July 2026, the old town of Königslutter am Elm turns into a two day beer festival. The Ducksteinfest is the traditional town festival of this cathedral town, jointly organized by the local heritage association (Heimat und Verkehrsverein Königslutter) and the Carlsberg brewery, which brews its reddish blonde beer Duckstein here. The name comes from the tuff stone, a roughly 15 meter thick rock layer on which the historic old town was built; right next to it rises the Kaiserdom, the former Benedictine monastery church and today's landmark of the town.

Program
The festival officially opens on Friday afternoon with the traditional keg tapping. Live bands then take the stage at the market square, followed by DJ sets running into the late evening. On Saturday, a family friendly program starts in the afternoon, before live music and DJs once again carry the festival into the night. All of Königslutter celebrates with fresh Duckstein draft beer, hearty food and musical entertainment for all ages.

- Königslutter sits on the Braunschweig Helmstedt railway line, making it an easy train trip to Königslutter station.
- Expect larger crowds in the small old town over the weekend; arriving early is worthwhile for a good spot.
