Welcome to the Dürener Biermarkt 2027 in Düren
The Dürener Biermarkt is Düren’s traditional beer festival on the Pentecost weekend, held on Rathausvorplatz in front of the town hall. The 21st edition ran from 22 to 25 May 2026 and has ended. No official date has been published for 2027. Pentecost Sunday 2027 falls on 16 May and Pentecost Monday on 17 May. Whether the festival again runs from Friday to Monday still has to be confirmed by the city or the organiser.
The organiser is Gerhard Suhr. Mayor Frank Peter Ullrich is patron. Entry to the square is free. Visitors pay for beer, food and merchandise.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The festival has been part of the city calendar since 2004 and takes place in front of the town hall. In 2026 the market opened on Friday at 15:00, with the barrel tap at 18:00. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday service started at 13:00. The city notices do not publish one single closing time. The 2026 music line-up was DJ Take-Down on Friday, the Eifel rock and blues band Rostfrei from 19:00 on Saturday, the Grönemeyer tribute band Ö-Band from Hannover from 19:00 on Pentecost Sunday, and the Fantastischen Vier tribute band Viert Gewinnt on Pentecost Monday. The 2027 line-up has not been announced and should not be treated as a repeat of 2026.
A classic-car run takes place in parallel on Pentecost Monday. In 2026, after a pre-start at Schloss Burgau, cars left the market square at about 9:15 and could be seen in the centre during the day. Whether the same schedule applies in 2027 is not confirmed.
Tickets & Admission for Dürener Biermarkt Düren
There is no admission charge for Rathausvorplatz. You pay for drinks, food and fan items. Beer prices for 2027 have not been published. Current information is issued by the City of Düren at dueren.de. The organiser posts updates via suhr-auf-tour.de. Once the 2027 Pentecost date is fixed, check opening hours and the stage programme there before you travel.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Düren
- Rathausvorplatz is in the city centre and within walking distance of Düren station. Expect heavier traffic and fuller car parks in the centre at Pentecost.
- Mid-May can be mild or changeable. A light jacket is useful for the evening on the open square.
- Book accommodation in Düren early if you are staying the whole weekend. Pentecost is a long weekend in North Rhine-Westphalia.
- Original brewery glasses are part of the serving ritual. Bring change for drinks and food stalls.
- If the classic-car start runs on Monday morning as in previous years, plan around it. Confirm the 2027 timetable before you go.
