Parade Route 2027
The procession starts at Herzogstraße / Corneliusstraße and passes through Hüttenstraße, Graf-Adolf-Straße, Königsallee (east side), Theodor-Körner-Straße, Ludwig-Zimmermann-Straße, Heinrich-Heine-Allee, Grabbeplatz, Mühlenstraße, Burgplatz, Marktplatz and Marktstraße before continuing along Berger Straße, Carlsplatz, Bilker Straße, Hohe Straße and Benrather Straße to Kasernenstraße and finally Elisabethstraße where the procession disperses.
Jacques Tilly: the world-famous satire floats
The most distinctive feature of the Düsseldorf parade is the politically satirical float collection by master float builder Jacques Tilly. Tilly and his team keep their provocative creations on topics from politics, religion and society strictly secret until Rose Monday itself. The floats are internationally renowned and give the Düsseldorf parade its unique identity as a political commentary dressed up in Carnival costume.
Season Motto 2026/2027: "Karneval – grenzenlos vereint!"
The official motto for the 2026/2027 season was announced by the Comitee Düsseldorfer Carneval. "Karneval – grenzenlos vereint!" (Carnival – United Without Borders) stands for diversity, solidarity and open community at a time when social cohesion matters more than ever. The motto runs through all floats, stage events and Carnival sessions throughout the season.

The Rose Monday Parade is free and open to all visitors along the entire route.
