What is the Düsseldorf Oktoberfest?
The Düsseldorf Oktoberfest is considered one of the biggest Oktoberfests on the Rhine, bringing genuine Munich Wiesn feeling into a large festival tent at Schützenplatz Eller. Alongside a traditional beer tent atmosphere, modern light and sound technology and several VIP areas, the resident Oktoberfest band Waidler Power keeps the mood going on every event day, while well known party and Mallorca stars turn individual evenings into their own highlights.
When is the Düsseldorf Oktoberfest 2026?
The festival runs from Thursday, 10 September, to Saturday, 26 September 2026, on selected days in the festival tent at Schützenplatz Eller. It opens with the Pre Opening on 10 September from 4:00 PM featuring Waidler Power, Nina Reh and Ikke Hüftgold; the official keg tapping "O'zapft is" follows on 11 September from 4:00 PM with Mickie Krause. On 12 September from 2:00 PM comes the "Wiesnhammer" evening with Lorenz Büffel and Almklausi, on 18 September from 4:00 PM the "Gipfeltreffen" with Frenzy, and on 19 September from 2:00 PM the "Bergfest" with Marc Eggers and Malle Anja. The season closes out with "Alpenfieber" on 25 September from 4:00 PM featuring Mia Julia, and the "Final Alm" on 26 September from 2:00 PM with Julian Sommer and Killermichel.

Visitor Tips for Schützenplatz Eller
- The opening nights (Pre Opening and O'zapft is) and the big name weekend evenings tend to sell out quickly, so early booking pays off.
- Seats are sold individually or as 4 person tickets; a full table needs two 4 person tickets, while VIP tickets are available individually or as a complete 8 person table.
- Cloakroom lockers are available on site for 7 or 10 euros, handy for coats and bags in a packed tent.
- Dirndl and lederhosen are explicitly welcome and fit right in with the Bavarian atmosphere inside the tent.
- Public transport is recommended for getting to Schützenplatz Eller, since parking fills up quickly on the busiest evenings.
