Welcome to the Ed O'Brien – An Evening With… Blue Morpho 2026 in Berlin
On Saturday 10 October 2026, Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien brings his An Evening With… Blue Morpho tour to the Admiralspalast at Friedrichstraße 101, Berlin-Mitte. He plays his second solo album Blue Morpho (Transgressive Records, 22 May 2026) in a historic theatre of about 1,700 seats – a seated concert, not an open-air show. Doors are at 19:00; Berlin listings put the performance start at 20:00.
Highlights & Attractions at Ed O'Brien – An Evening With… Blue Morpho in Berlin
- Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien live in Berlin with Blue Morpho, his second solo album and the first released under his own name (2020’s Earth came out as EOB).
- A seated night in the Admiralspalast, a listed 1910 variety theatre on Friedrichstraße, not an arena floor.
- A live band drawn from the album sessions, including musical director Dave Okumu (The Invisible) and singer ESKA.
- Not a note-for-note playback: the show is framed as a fluid, immersive evening that is meant to evolve from night to night.
- A sound between alternative rock, hypnotic psych-folk, trip-hop and radiant guitar textures; the album was produced by Paul Epworth.
- Seven new songs written between 2020 and 2025, plus solo-catalogue material – the Berlin setlist has not been published in advance.
- The only Berlin date on a seven-city European run; the other German show is 12 October 2026 at Laeiszhalle Hamburg.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
Eventim, Ticketmaster and berlin.de list Saturday 10 October 2026 at 19:00. FluxFM and other Berlin sources split that time: doors 19:00, show 20:00. Approximate running time is 2 hours 30 minutes; with a 20:00 start, a finish around 22:30 is realistic, though no official curfew has been posted. No support act is announced – Ed O'Brien is the headliner.
The live show is not designed to recreate the record track for track. The band leans on the exploratory spirit of Sly and the Family Stone, Miles Davis and Phish. The London tour date at the Barbican lists haze and strobe; whether the Admiralspalast uses the same production is not separately confirmed, so check house notices on the night if you are sensitive. No admission under the age of 6; ages 6–16 only with a parent or guardian aged 18 or over.
Tickets & Admission for Ed O'Brien – An Evening With… Blue Morpho Berlin
This is an all-seated concert. Eventim lists Berlin tickets from 69.25 euro; other published seat categories sit at 75.00 euro and 80.75 euro (public lists, fees extra). That gives a working range of about 69 to 81 euro. Official sellers are Live Nation / Ticketmaster and Eventim; the local promoter is Trinity Music GmbH with Live Nation. Buy only through those outlets or the venue, not unknown resale sites. Wheelchair and accessible seats go through Live Nation’s access form or the hotline +49 30 40818 824 (weekdays 10:00–18:00).
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Berlin
- Getting there: The Admiralspalast sits on S+U Friedrichstraße (S1, S2, S3, S5, S7, S9, S25, S26, U6). Nearby: U Oranienburger Tor (U6), U Unter den Linden (U5/U6), trams M1/M5/M6. Driving into Mitte on a Saturday night is a poor plan – use BVG/S-Bahn. From BER airport, Airport Express, S-Bahn or regional trains reach Friedrichstraße in about 30–40 minutes.
- Weather and clothing: Mid-October in Berlin is cool, often 8–14 °C, with a real chance of rain. The auditorium is seated and heated – smart casual plus a jacket for outside. Solid shoes for a historic theatre; festival kit is unnecessary.
- Where to stay: Hotels around Friedrichstraße, Hackescher Markt and Unter den Linden are walkable. Saturday in the centre fills up – book early. Cheaper stays in Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg or Wedding still have a direct S-Bahn ride back.
- Inside the house: The Theatersaal holds about 1,733 seats, with bars in the foyers. Follow Admiralspalast bag and cloakroom rules; leave large backpacks at the hotel. If haze is used and you want to avoid it, skip the very front rows.
- After the show: A 22:30 finish still catches S-Bahn and U6; for outer districts, treat midnight as the last comfortable window, then night buses or the M1 tram. Eat in Mitte before doors at 19:00 – late entry is more disruptive in a seated theatre than at a festival.
