Welcome to the Eisleber Wiesenmarkt 2026 in Eisleben
The Eisleber Wiesenmarkt is the largest folk festival in Central Germany and has been held in Lutherstadt Eisleben since 1521. The 505th edition takes place from 18 to 21 September 2026 as the main “Große Wiese” and from 25 to 27 September as the “Kleine Wiese”. On around 80,000 m² of festival grounds, visitors find more than 300 showmen, rides, beer tents and traditional processions.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The main fair opens on Friday 18 September 2026 with the opening spectacle and parade from around 1:30 p.m., followed by the traditional barrel tapping at 3:00 p.m. Saturday focuses on the marksmen’s day with parade and bird shooting. Sunday is family day with a church service, and Monday ends with the big fireworks at 10:00 p.m. The Kleine Wiese from 25 to 27 September centres on the farmers’ market and a more relaxed atmosphere with laser and pyro show. Opening hours of the main fair: Friday 3 p.m.–1 a.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–1 a.m., Sunday 10 a.m.–10/11 p.m., Monday 12 p.m.–midnight.

Admission to the Eisleber Wiesenmarkt is free of charge. There are no entrance fees. Rides, food and drinks are paid for on site. Seats in the festival tent can be reserved in advance. Current information and reservations are available on the official website wiesenmarkt.de.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Eisleben
- Parking directly at the fairgrounds (approx. 5 Euro per car) or Park & Ride in the Hallesche Straße industrial area with shuttle bus
- Arrive by train to Eisleben; free shuttle buses run from the station to the grounds (valid train ticket required)
- Book accommodation in Lutherstadt Eisleben and the surrounding area early – especially in the town centre and near Wiesenweg
- Wear comfortable shoes as the grounds are extensive, and pack weatherproof clothing
