Visitor Tips: Getting There and Accommodation in Erfurt

  • Domplatz is about a 15-minute walk from Erfurt's main railway station; alternatively, tram lines 3, 5 and 6 serve the nearby Anger stop
  • As the festival grounds are in the middle of the old town, traveling by train or tram is much more convenient than by car
  • Evenings can already turn cool in late September and October, so a warm jacket is advisable
  • Booking accommodation in Erfurt's old town early is worthwhile, especially for weekends
