Welcome to the Essener Mittelaltermarkt 2026 in Essen
The Essen Medieval Market is the medieval section of the International Christmas Market Essen and runs from 13 November to 23 December 2026 on Flachsmarkt beside the Marktkirche. EMG and visitessen.de use the same window as the main market. Entry is free. Torches, costumed traders and crafts define the square.

The market is typically closed on Totensonntag; Volkstrauertag often has shorter hours. The exact 2026 stage grid (music, fire show, fairy-tale hut) appears closer to opening on visitessen.de.
