Essener Wintertraum 2027 turns Kennedyplatz in Essen’s city centre into a winter destination from 12 January to 10 March 2027. After the Christmas markets close, the season continues with ice skating, ice stock sport and evening events. Organised by TraumEvent GmbH (Oliver and Steffi Müller), the roughly 4,500 m² site hosts NRW’s largest mobile ice rink – and Germany’s only rink built on two levels.

Advance sales for the season from 12 January to 10 March 2027 start shortly via the online shop on essener-wintertraum.de and essener-wintertraum.ticket.io. For orientation, the last published skating prices (about four hours from first scan, in euro) were: children up to and including 13 years from 6 euro, adults from 10 euro, and a Family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children up to 13 years for 25 euro. Skate hire was recently about 6 euro (children) and 7 euro (adults). In 2026 an early-bird rate applied in the morning. Ice stock lanes are booked per rink and cost more than single skating tickets. On-site day desks also accepted card payment. 2027 prices may change – the ticket shop and official website are the binding sources.
