Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation in Bamberg

  • The vineyard can be reached on foot via the Benediktinerweg from Aufseßstraße, Maienbrunnen or Sandstraße
  • Parking directly at the monastery is very limited, so arriving by public transport is recommended
  • Since the festival takes place outdoors on a hillside, sturdy shoes and a light jacket for the autumn evening are advisable
  • Accommodation in Bamberg's old town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, should be booked well in advance
  • A walk up to the Domberg or through the Inselstadt pairs well with a visit to the festival
