Welcome to the Federweißerfest 2026 at Michaelsberg in Bamberg
On September 19 and 20, 2026, the vineyard below the former Benedictine monastery of Michaelsberg once again turns into an autumn wine festival. Around the winegrower's building of Kloster St. Michael in Bamberg, the season's first Federweißer, a young partially fermented wine, is served amid a relaxed afternoon among the vines.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in Bamberg
The festival begins at 13:00 on both days and traditionally runs into the early evening. The focus is on relaxed gatherings among the vines, while food and drinks are served from the winegrower's building. In previous years, local musicians and brass bands provided the entertainment, and the exact 2026 program has not yet been finalized.

Admission to the Federweißerfest at Michaelsberg is free. Visitors pay on site for food and drinks such as Federweißer, wine and onion cake. Proceeds traditionally go toward the restoration of the monastery church of St. Michael.

- The vineyard can be reached on foot via the Benediktinerweg from Aufseßstraße, Maienbrunnen or Sandstraße
