Welcome to the Feira Artesá do Nadal 2026/2027 in A Coruna

Feira Artesá do Nadal 2026/2027, also called FAN II, is the second edition of A Coruna’s professional Christmas craft market. It runs from Saturday 5 December 2026 to Tuesday 5 January 2027 in the Jardines de Méndez Núñez, in the city centre between the Cantones and the harbour. It is organised by the Asociación Galega de Artesáns. Admission is free; you only pay for what you buy at the stalls.

Highlights & Attractions at Feira Artesá do Nadal in A Coruna

  • A compact Christmas market limited to professional craft workshops, not mass-produced souvenirs.
  • A maximum of 27 stalls: workshops from Galicia and, unlike the first edition, from outside Galicia as well.
  • Gifts bought directly from the makers. The 2026/2027 exhibitor list is not published yet. The first edition (20 December 2024 to 5 January 2025, 14 stalls) included ceramics, jewellery, leather, wood, basketry and musical instruments, often with the Artesanía de Galicia quality mark.
  • Free entry in a public garden. There is no ticket; each stall sets its own prices.
  • A central setting a short walk from Avenida da Marina, the Kiosco Alfonso and the port. This is not the Praza do Nadal on Plaza de María Pita.
  • Run by the same professional association that has organised the summer craft fair Mostrart in these gardens since 1985.
  • Quieter Christmas shopping than a large mulled-wine market: time to talk to the makers and leave with a Galician handmade gift.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/2027

On most days Feira Artesá do Nadal opens in two sessions: 11:30–14:30 and 17:00–21:00. On 24 and 31 December only the morning session applies, 11:30–14:30. The market is closed on 25 December 2026 and 1 January 2027. These hours were published by the Asociación Galega de Artesáns for the 2026/2027 edition.

No stage programme has been announced for FAN II. The stalls are the event. Which workshops will attend in 2026/2027 is not yet listed on the association’s website. The exhibitor application deadline was 18 September 2026. If you are looking for Galician craft, ask about ceramics, jewellery, leather, wood and textiles, and look for the Artesanía de Galicia mark where it applies. Workshops from outside Galicia will not necessarily carry that seal.

Tickets & Admission for Feira Artesá do Nadal A Coruna

There are no tickets. Entry to Feira Artesá do Nadal in the Jardines de Méndez Núñez is free, as it was for the first edition. Prices of handmade pieces are set by each stall and had not been published centrally at the time of writing. Use only the organiser’s page for updates: galegadeartesans.org. Do not confuse this market with Praza do Nadal on Plaza de María Pita, a separate city Christmas village with food huts, a large tree and children’s rides, not a professional craft fair.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in A Coruna

  • Getting there: The gardens are at Avenida Jardines de Méndez Núñez, s/n, 15006 A Coruña, between the city and the harbour. The historic centre and María Pita are a short walk away. A Coruna railway station and A Coruña Airport (LCG, Alvedro) connect by bus or taxi. There is no metro.
  • Weather: Atlantic winter, often 8–14 °C, with frequent rain and wind. Bring a waterproof jacket, sturdy shoes and an extra layer for the evening. The break from 14:30 to 17:00 is an easy window for a warm meal in the centre.
  • Where to stay: From 5 December to 5 January, and especially around Christmas and New Year, central hotels book up early. If you want an evening visit, arrive before 21:00. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve selling stops at 14:30.
  • Right place: Handmade gifts are in the Jardines de Méndez Núñez. The city’s lights, tree and children’s programme are centred on Plaza de María Pita. You can do both in one afternoon, but they are not the same market.
  • Shopping: Talk to the makers and ask about materials and origin. An official 2026/2027 exhibitor list was not published at the time of writing; check galegadeartesans.org closer to the date. Card payment is not guaranteed at every stall.
