Welcome to Feiras Novas 2027 in Ponte de Lima
In Ponte de Lima, the oldest town in Portugal, the Feiras Novas turn the historic old town into a great stage for popular culture every year. Held since 1826 in honor of Nossa Senhora das Dores, it is considered one of the country's most important folk festivals. The 2027 edition continues this long tradition on the banks of the Lima River.

- Ponte de Lima is located in the Alto Minho region and is easy to reach by car or regional bus from Viana do Castelo
- The old town is closed to car traffic during the festival, so arriving on foot from the outskirts is recommended
- Warm late summer weather is typical in September, so light clothing for the day and a jacket for evening events are advisable
- Accommodation in and around Ponte de Lima should be booked early given the large number of visitors
