When Is the Feria de Albacete 2026?
The Feria de Albacete takes place from 7 to 17 September 2026; it is one of Spain's largest and most traditional fairs, officially recognized as a Fiesta of International Tourist Interest. The celebration honors the Virgin of Los Llanos, the city's patron saint, and turns Albacete into eleven days of parades, concerts, bullfighting and traditional food.
Where Does the Feria de Albacete Take Place?
The heart of the fair is the historic Recinto Ferial de Albacete, also known as "La Sartén" (the frying pan) for its unique circular shape; built in 1783 and declared a cultural heritage monument. Around the building lie the Ejidos de la Feria with the fair's tents (casetas), along with the Paseo Ferial and the nearby Plaza de Toros bullring, host of the bullfighting season.

What's on the Program at the Feria de Albacete?
Traditionally, 7 September opens with a ceremonial parade from the city center to the fairground, followed by the lighting of the grounds and the first night of celebration. Each day combines nightly concerts in the casetas, bullfighting events at the Plaza de Toros, funfair rides and children's activities with discounted prices on weekdays. Musically, the "Viva la Feria" series offers a different concert each night, complemented by the Festival Poetas del Rock and Festival Urban at various venues across the city. The religious highlight is the feast day of the city's patron saint, marked with masses and a procession. The closing night on 17 September ends with fireworks and the traditional "traca" finale.
How Much Do Bullfighting and Museum Tickets Cost?
Access to the fairground, the Ejidos and the fair tents is free, as are most street events and concerts. Separate tickets are required for bullfights at the Plaza de Toros, with prices varying by seating category and event. The Museo Municipal de la Cuchillería, right by the cathedral, charges 3 euros admission (1 euro for students, 0.50 euros for seniors); during the fair it also opens on Mondays.
