Festival Cuca Monga 2026 takes over the gardens of Palácio Pimenta – Museu de Lisboa at Campo Grande – on 25 and 26 September. The fourth edition, curated by Associação Cuca Monga, celebrates independent music in Portuguese: indie, pop and songwriting in a closed garden venue with two stages. Doors open at 18:00 both days; concerts run late into the night.

• Closed site with two stages, food stalls, merchandise and music from late afternoon into the night.
• Programmed by musicians for an audience that cares about songwriting, friendship and the Portuguese language, with support from Junta de Freguesia de Alvalade.

Friday 25 September 2026 is headlined by Capitão Fausto – co-founders of the Cuca Monga label – plus Brazil’s Sophia Chablau e Uma Enorme Perda de Tempo, Marquise, Vaiapraia, Rita Cortezão, Leonor Arnaut and Miguel Marôco. Saturday 26 September brings Sérgio Godinho & ZARCO, Manel Cruz, Bruno Berle, Rapaz Ego, Beatriz Pessoa, Manu Julian and IBSXJAUR. Detailed set times had not been published at the time of writing; the organisers say they will follow on official channels.

Gates open at 18:00. Music starts in the late afternoon and runs into the night (the previous edition listed roughly 18:30–02:00; Ticketline lists an eight-hour duration). Two stages are intended to limit clashes. The site is enclosed; tickets must be exchanged for a festival wristband.

Tickets are sold via Ticketline. As of September 2026, day tickets are 30 euro and the two-day pass is 50 euro; booking fees on sales platforms may raise the checkout price slightly (some listings show from about 32 euro). The earlier early-bird pass at 40–45 euro is no longer the current reference. Admission is charged from age 6 (rating M/06). Buy only through ticketline.pt or official Associação Cuca Monga links (cucamonga.pt). Wristband exchange on site is mandatory.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Lisbon

• Getting there: Palácio Pimenta is at Campo Grande 245. Campo Grande metro station (Green and Yellow lines) is a short walk. From Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), take the Red line and change for Campo Grande, or use a bus or taxi. Entrecampos and Cidade Universitária are other nearby stops.
• Weather and clothing: Late September in Lisbon is often still mild and dry, with daytime temperatures frequently in the low-to-mid 20s °C and cooler nights. The garden lawn can be damp – wear comfortable shoes, bring a light layer and a poncho if rain is forecast.
• Where to stay: Alvalade, Campo Grande, Avenidas Novas and Entrecampos are the most practical neighbourhoods. The festival falls in the shoulder season, but rooms around the university and Campo Grande still go early.
