Welcome to Festival F 2026 in Faro
From 3 to 5 September 2026, Faro's historic old town, known as Vila Adentro, turns into a sprawling open air festival. Festival F marks its eleventh edition in 2026 and is billed as the last big summer festival in Portugal; eight stages are spread across the narrow streets, squares and courtyards of the old town, with a strong focus on Portuguese language music.

Program
Over three evenings and nights, concerts unfold across the Ria, Sé, Quintalão, Fábrica, Museu, Músicos and Arco stages, while the Castelo stage hosts a Silent Party. Beyond the music, the festival turns the whole Vila Adentro into a meeting point between heritage, culture and nature, with the nearby Ria Formosa adding to the setting's charm. Exact stage times and the full lineup are usually confirmed on the official website shortly before the event.
Tickets
Festival F is a ticketed event, with both a three day pass and single day tickets available. Since 1 August 2026, the three day pass costs 54 euros and the day ticket 22 euros (the earlier presale offered the pass for 45 euros and the day ticket for 20 euros). Children aged three to twelve get free entry when accompanied by an adult.
Visitor Tips
- The streets of Vila Adentro are narrow and cobbled; comfortable shoes are recommended.
- Concerts run from the evening into the early morning hours; arriving early makes it easier to find a good spot at the smaller stages.
- Historic churches, the cathedral and the old town walls sit right among the stages, so a daytime stroll through the old town is worthwhile too.
- Faro sits directly on the Ria Formosa lagoon; a short trip there fits well before or after the festival.
- Book accommodation in Faro early, as the city fills up quickly during the festival.
