Event Details

Welcome to Festival Iminente 2026

From 17 to 20 September 2026, the industrial neighbourhood of Marvila in eastern Lisbon once again becomes Portugal's leading stage for urban culture. The Festival Iminente celebrates its tenth anniversary this year; it was founded in 2016 by street artist Alexandre Farto, known as Vhils. After skipping 2025, the festival returns to its classic four day format at a new venue: the former Escola Industrial Afonso Domingues, a historic school building in the heart of Marvila.

Highlights

  • Tenth anniversary edition of Festival Iminente
  • Over 100 concerts, installations and exhibitions across four days
  • Street art and large scale murals as the festival's trademark
  • A music program spanning Fado, hip hop, drill, funaná and electronic music
  • Skate areas and urban sports built into the festival grounds
  • New venue: the former Afonso Domingues industrial school (the festival's home through 2027)
  • Strong ties to Lisbon neighbourhood collectives such as Príncipe, Chelas é o Sítio and Planeta Manas

Program

The 2026 lineup brings national and international artists to several stages across the school grounds, alongside art installations in former classrooms, a canteen turned dance hall and a dedicated soundsystem area for the first time. Confirmed acts include Sam The Kid with orchestra, Capicua, Gisela João, Mind Da Gap and Dino D'Santiago, plus an anniversary set from Batida. Beyond music, the program includes talks, dance, performance and a carefully curated food offering, along with mural and street art projects across the wider Marvila neighbourhood.

Tickets

Day tickets cost 20 euros in advance (25 euros at the door, subject to capacity). A weekend pass covering Saturday and Sunday costs 38 euros, a three day pass is 55 euros and the full four day pass is 70 euros. Tickets are available through the festival's official website.

Visitor Tips

  • Marvila is in eastern Lisbon; public transport is recommended, as parking near the venue is limited.
  • Buy tickets in advance where possible, since door prices are higher.
  • Wear comfortable shoes, as the venue spans a full former school campus.
  • Music runs into the early morning hours; arriving early lets you explore the art installations at a calmer pace during the day.
  • The festival is set to stay at this venue through 2027, so it is worth planning a visit in the coming years too.
