Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

The festival runs over two days in February. In 2026 the hours were Saturday 13:00–22:00 and Sunday 13:00–21:00; similar times are expected for 2027 but should be confirmed nearer the event. Throughout the day many barrel-aged beers are poured from the taps, with food available at the cheese, oyster and BBQ stands.

Previous editions also offered ticketed cheese–beer–wine tastings with neighbour Kwestie van Smaak (book via [email protected]). Whether these return in 2027 will be listed on the festival page. The focus is tasting barrel-aged craft beer in a relaxed restaurant setting – not a large outdoor music festival.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Utrecht

• Getting there: Best by train to Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn (a few minutes’ walk) or Utrecht Centraal, then bus, tram or bike. Taplokaal Gist is at Helling 9 in the Rotsoord area by the water.
• Weather and clothing: Early February in Utrecht is cold and often wet. Bring warm layers, sturdy shoes and a waterproof jacket; part of the offer (BBQ) is outdoors.
• Where to stay: Utrecht has plenty of hotels and B&Bs in the centre and near Vaartsche Rijn. Book early for winter weekends.
