The Fête Médiévale d'Azincourt – History Comes Alive on the Real Battlefield
On 10 and 11 July 2027, the small northern French village of Azincourt transforms into a spectacular medieval living history event. On the very fields where one of the most famous battles of the Hundred Years' War was fought on 25 October 1415, the Centre Azincourt 1415 brings the past to life with passionate reenactors, equestrian tournaments, falconry displays and a breathtaking fire show finale. An unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Program
Saturday, 10 July 2027: 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Day one opens at 10:00 AM with the medieval camp. Blacksmiths, weavers, illuminators and other craftspeople demonstrate their ancestral techniques. At 1:00 PM the armoured foot combat tournament begins, followed by equestrian jousting at 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM. The evening closes with the spectacular fire show featuring pyrotechnics, dance and illuminations at approximately 10:30 PM.
Sunday, 11 July 2027: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
The second day continues with battle reenactments, falconry displays and medieval craft demonstrations. A traditional knighting ceremony rounds off the weekend.
The Medieval Camp
At the heart of the festival, a faithfully recreated medieval camp presents the daily life of 15th-century soldiers and civilians. Visitors discover how English longbowmen, armoured knights and foot soldiers lived, ate and fought. The camp also showcases period crafts: blacksmiths, tailors, potters and bakers work in front of the public.
History: The Battle of Agincourt 1415
On 25 October 1415, St Crispin's Day, King Henry V of England led his exhausted and heavily outnumbered army against the far larger French force. Despite overwhelming odds, the English longbowmen achieved a crushing victory that changed the course of the Hundred Years' War. Today visitors can walk those same fields and experience history up close.

Visitor Tips
- Wear sturdy footwear as the site involves country paths and open fields.
- Bring sunscreen and a hat in good weather; a rain jacket if the forecast is uncertain.
- The Saturday evening fire show is an absolute highlight not to be missed.
- The Centre Azincourt 1415 museum is open year-round and pairs perfectly with the festival visit.
- Free parking is available on site.
- Book accommodation in Hesdin or Fruges; Azincourt itself is a very small village.
