From August 29 to September 13, 2026, Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia celebrates the start of the grape harvest with the Fiestas de la Vendimia. Over sixteen days, the old town around the cathedral and the Alcázar becomes a stage for wine, horses and flamenco, the three elements that define the city's identity.

The festival opens with the Pisa de la Uva ceremony, where the first grapes of the new harvest are traditionally trodden by foot.
