Fiestas de San Mateo turn Logrono into the capital of the Rioja grape harvest in 2027. The official start is traditionally marked by the chupinazo on Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The long-running Fiesta de la Vendimia Riojana mixes grape treading, street parties, free concerts and food across the old town, in a week often compared to a wine-country cousin of San Fermin.

The following days bring folk and pop stages, the popular grape tread, dance orchestras and fireworks, before the week closes with the burning of the wine vat. Daytime is for tastings, parades and the bullfighting fair; nights belong to concerts and verbenas. Public stages are free to attend.
