Welcome to the Forever Young 2027 in Vienna
Forever Young 2027 is Austria’s largest 80s open-air festival and takes place on Friday, 23 July 2027, on Vienna’s Donauinsel (Danube Island). Gates open at 14:00 and the show runs until about 23:00. Next to Floridsdorfer Bridge, 80s legends deliver nine hours of hits, nostalgia and open-air party atmosphere.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
Forever Young 2027 is a one-day open-air concert on 23 July 2027. After 14:00 admission, the live show continues until 23:00. Confirmed artists include Holly Johnson (The Power of Love), F. R. David (Words), Sandra (Maria Magdalena), Cutting Crew (Died in Your Arms), Cock Robin (The Promise You Made), John Parr (St. Elmo’s Fire), Jason Donovan and Alphaville with the anthem Forever Young. A minute-by-minute running order is expected closer to the event; 2026 timeslots do not apply to 2027.
The concert is framed by food stalls, prize games, an LED wall beside the stage and fireworks. Donauinsel Open Air also hosts other themed festival days in the same July week; Forever Young remains the 80s day. Line-up changes remain possible for open-air shows – check the official website before you travel.
Tickets & Admission for Forever Young Vienna
Standing tickets currently start at 59 EUR in presale; the organiser has indicated later price tiers around 85 EUR. Prices rise in stages, so booking early is cheaper. VIP and Premium VIP tickets add covered viewing, private bars, complimentary tap drinks and buffet food; VIP prices are listed by the ticketing partner and sit above standing tickets. Entry is not free. Buy via oeticket, Wien-Ticket or the Raiffeisen ticket shop. Minimum age is 16; younger guests only with a parent or legal guardian. No re-entry after the ticket is scanned. Door sales, if available, usually open one hour before gates and cost more than presale.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Vienna
- Public transport: U6 Neue Donau or Handelskai, S-Bahn Handelskai, and U1 Donauinsel. The site is at Floridsdorfer Bridge, 1210 Vienna. Driving is inconvenient on event day; parking around the island is limited.
- July in Vienna is often hot, with cooler air by the river at night. Pack sun protection, a light 80s-inspired outfit and a rain poncho. Bags larger than A4 (about 20 x 30 cm) are banned; outside food and drinks are not allowed.
- Book hotels in Floridsdorf, Donau City or near Prater/Leopoldstadt early – July is peak season. The island is about 20 minutes from the centre by metro.
- On-site ATM, deposit cups and festival toilets. Pets, weapons, drugs and laser pointers are prohibited.
- Combo tip: Millennium Beats (2000s) is scheduled on the same island on 24 July 2027. If you stay two days, book lodging and tickets separately.
