FrankenBierFest transforms the Limonaia of Villa Torlonia into a living piece of Franconia for three days. The event typically takes place on an April weekend; exact dates for 2027 will be confirmed later. Friday evening traditionally opens with the tapping ceremony of a large welcome barrel. Saturday and Sunday offer full days of extended tastings and culinary enjoyment. Many beers are served fresh and “alive” – unfiltered, unpasteurised and often only a few days after brewing. Admission to FrankenBierFest is free of charge. Participation requires an electronic wristband: 5 euros including a commemorative 0.5-litre glass and brewery guide, or 15 euros including a traditional stein and guide. Guests can top up credit on the wristband and pay contactlessly for beers and food. A full glass (0.5 l) usually costs the equivalent of 6 euros, a Schnitt (0.25 l) proportionally less. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Rome

• Best reached by Metro B to Policlinico station, then a short walk to the entrance at Via Lazzaro Spallanzani 1A. Bus lines 60, 62, 82 and 90 stop nearby.
