Event Details
The 14th Frankfurt Apple Wine Festival at Roßmarkt
From Friday, 7 August to Sunday, 16 August 2026, Frankfurt's central Roßmarkt square transforms into the region's largest apple wine celebration. The 14th Frankfurt Apple Wine Festival (Apfelweinfest) invites visitors to discover Hesse's national drink in all its varieties: served traditionally from the Bembel jug, as a refreshing spritzer or in creative new recipes. Organised by the Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main (TCF) together with eleven regional cider producers. Admission is free on all ten festival days.
Since 2022, the traditional production of apple wine has been listed in the UNESCO Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The festival celebrates this cultural treasure against the spectacular backdrop of the Frankfurt skyline.
