Welcome to the GALA Festival 2027 in London

GALA Festival 2027 returns to Peckham Rye Park in South London over the UK Spring Bank Holiday weekend, 28–30 May. The independent boutique festival has celebrated club culture outdoors since 2016, with house, disco, jazz and bass in a woodland corner of Peckham. Official dates were announced via @thisisgala; 2027 tickets are not on sale yet, but pre-registration is open on the festival’s presale page.

Highlights & Attractions at GALA Festival in London

  • Independent South London festival in Peckham Rye Park, built around house, disco, jazz and club culture — founded in 2016 and still deliberately boutique and dancefloor-first.
  • Multiple curated stages (in recent years including Joy, Patio, Pleasure Dome, 1908, Donna’s and Cornerstone), often hosted with Peckham partners such as BORN N BREAD and Jumbi, plus NTS, Rinse FM and other scene collaborators.
  • Day festival with no camping: Friday typically from mid-afternoon, Saturday and Sunday from midday, finish around 10.30pm — 2027 gate times will be confirmed on the official site closer to the event.
  • Strictly 18+: Challenge 25 at the gates, valid in-date physical ID, and the name on your ticket must match your ID.
  • Local roots: discounted resident tickets for people in the catchment area, a charity partnership with Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers, and a published wellbeing strategy with an on-site welfare space.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

The GALA Festival 2027 lineup in London has not been announced yet. Previous editions spread three distinct days across the park: Friday often heavier on bass and South London club sounds, Saturday on house, disco and electronic crossovers, and Sunday on sunlit disco, jazz and deep house — frequently with partner takeovers (Jumbi, Todd Terje & Friends, The Cause and others). Expect DJ sets and selected live acts on parallel floors rather than a single arena headline slot.

In 2026, Friday ran 2pm–10.30pm and Saturday/Sunday 12pm–10.30pm. Last entry was 6pm on Friday and 5pm at the weekend; resident tickets had earlier entry windows. Re-entry after scan was not allowed. Whether those hours stay the same in 2027 is not confirmed — treat thisisgala.co.uk plus Resident Advisor and DICE as the only binding sources once tickets and set times drop.

Tickets & Admission for GALA Festival in London

2027 ticket prices have not been published. In 2025/2026, early-bird day tickets started at about £39.50 plus booking fee, later tiers were reported by Time Out from around £76.50, and discounted resident tickets started at £30 plus fee. GALA typically sells single-day tickets (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) rather than a classic weekend pass. Only tickets bought from Resident Advisor (RA) and DICE were accepted; third-party tickets were refused at the door. Official resale ran through RA Resale at face value minus the booking fee.

Pre-register at presale.thisisgala.co.uk for early access and the first 2027 announcements. When general sale opens, move quickly — Saturday sold out early in 2026. Buy only through official channels and make sure the name on the ticket matches your ID.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in London

  • Use train and bus: nearest stations are Peckham Rye (about a 20-minute walk) and Honor Oak Park (about 22 minutes). There is no car parking on site; the designated taxi pick-up was on East Dulwich Road (SE22 9BD, Tesco Express forecourt). Entrance is at the bottom of the park, opposite Colyton Road (What3Words: option.lost.plants), address Straker’s Road, London SE15 3UA.
  • Late May in London is often mild to warm but changeable: sunscreen, light layers and sturdy shoes for grass and woodland paths. An empty refillable water bottle is allowed and worth bringing; makeup and sunscreen were permitted but may be tested at security.
  • Stay in Peckham, Nunhead, East Dulwich, Camberwell or New Cross, and book early — Bank Holiday weekend is busy. There is no camping and no cloakroom or lockers; pack light (bags larger than A4 were banned).
  • Card payments only at bars and food traders, no re-entry, 18+ with no exceptions. Prohibited items have included glass, folding chairs, large umbrellas, professional camera kit, drones, and food or drink (except an empty bottle). Use the welfare tent for support and lost property; after the event email [email protected].
