From 8 November to 31 December 2026, Eyre Square in the heart of Galway is transformed into a festive and lively winter wonderland. The Galway Continental Christmas Market is one of Ireland's most popular festive events, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. The market offers diverse entertainment every day. The stalls open at 12:00 PM from Monday to Wednesday, and at 10:00 AM from Thursday to Sunday. While the craft and food stalls generally close around 8:00 PM, the highly popular Beer Tent—featuring lively music and warming drinks like Irish whiskey and mulled wine—stays open until 10:00 PM every night.

Admission to the Galway Christmas Market is completely free. Visitors can stroll through the festive grounds at their leisure. However, individual attractions such as the Big Wheel, the carousel, and Santa's Grotto require a separate fee, and tickets for Santa's Grotto can often be booked in advance.
