From 13 November to 30 December 2026, the historic Municipal Cave (Gemeentegrot) at the foot of the famous Cauberg transforms into a magical underground wonderland. As Europe's oldest, largest, and most visited underground Christmas market, it offers a truly unique holiday experience. Thousands of twinkling lights, beautifully decorated stalls, and stunning sculptures blend seamlessly within the historic marl tunnels to create an enchanting atmosphere.

The underground market opens daily from mid-November through late December. From Monday to Thursday, the market welcomes visitors between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM, while weekend hours run from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Visitors can stroll at their own pace through the cavernous tunnels, enjoying festive music, dazzling light displays, and holiday displays.
