Welcome to the International Folklore Festival „Golden Days" in Varna 2027
From 5 to 10 July 2027, Varna, Bulgaria's vibrant seaside capital on the Black Sea coast, becomes a living stage for dance, music and cultural exchange. The International Folklore Festival "Golden Days" brings together ensembles from around the world, combining artistic performances with the unique atmosphere of Bulgaria's Black Sea coast. The festival is non-competitive and open to performing groups of all ages.
About the Festival
The International Varna Folk Festival welcomes folklore dance ensembles, modern dance groups, choirs, orchestras, instrumental ensembles, majorettes and other performing arts groups. Each participating group is offered two open-air concert performances on a professionally equipped stage, as well as participation in the Festival Parade (Defile) through the city. A minimum of 10 performers on stage is required per group. There are no age restrictions: children, youth and adults are all equally welcome.

Festival Program
- Day 1 (5 July): Arrival and hotel check-in from 1:30 PM; welcome meeting with festival representatives at 8:30 PM
- Day 2 (6 July): Morning joint activities; first open-air concert from 7:00 PM
- Day 3 (7 July): Festival Parade (Defile) from 6:35 PM; second concert from 7:00 PM
- Day 4 (8 July): Concert with diploma ceremony from 7:00 PM
- Day 5 (9 July): Free day and optional excursions
- Day 6 (10 July): Departure after breakfast
Participation Fees
The participation fee covers accommodation, full board, two concert performances, the festival parade, stage and sound system, an official invitation letter, and the participation certificate.
- 4 nights: from €195 per person
- 5 nights: from €230 per person
- City tax: €1.50 per person per night (for participants aged 14 and over)
- Single room supplement: €35 per night
- Double room supplement: €12 per person per night
- Every 26th participant is accommodated free of charge for every 25 paying participants
Payment Schedule
- 30% deposit upon registration
- 40% payment due 60 days before the festival
- 30% final payment due 10 days before the festival begins
- Final participant list must be submitted 30 days before the festival
