Welcome to the Great Christmas Circus Frankfurt 2026/27
From 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, Circus Carl Busch presents the 13th Great Christmas Circus Frankfurt at Festplatz am Ratsweg. In the heated blue-and-white tent palace with about 2,500 numbered seats, audiences get a brand-new world-class programme of international artistry, clowns and classic circus atmosphere. On New Year’s Eve, 31 December 2026, there are two shows at 15:30 and 19:30 – a festive way to close the year under the big top.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026/27
The run lasts from 5 December 2026 (premiere 20:00) to 3 January 2027. Weekdays usually offer shows at 15:30 and 19:30; Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 15:00 and 18:30. On 7 and 8 December 2026 there are no regular public shows (private Christmas party use); 9 and 10 December have afternoon shows only. Christmas Eve, 24 December: 14:00 only. New Year’s Eve, 31 December 2026: 15:30 and 19:30.
Each performance runs about two and a half hours including the interval. Doors typically open one hour before the show. The 2026 programme focuses on top international acts; further numbers are announced on the official website. Tickets are on sale online now and at the circus box office from 5 December.
Tickets & Admission for Great Christmas Circus Frankfurt
According to the organiser, tickets start from €15; advance partners list categories from about €21.50 up to around €51 depending on seat group. Reductions apply for children from age 3, pupils, students, unemployed people, social-assistance recipients, soldiers, severely disabled visitors (and accompanying persons with mark B) and pensioners – proof required at entry. Under-3s are free but have no right to their own seat. Wheelchair seats only in Block D via hotline 069 / 13 40 400. Buy via great-christmas-circus.de, Frankfurt Ticket RheinMain, Eventim or CTS outlets; box-office hold deposits are not possible.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Frankfurt
- Getting there: Festplatz am Ratsweg; navigation address Am Bornheimer Hang, 60386 Frankfurt. Public transport: stop Eissporthalle/Festplatz (U7, tram 12, buses). By car: near the A661; on-site parking – arrive early as queues can form.
- Weather and clothing: Winter season in a heated tent – warm outerwear for arrival and departure; comfortable shoes recommended.
- Where to stay: Book Frankfurt accommodation early for Christmas and New Year’s Eve; the Ratsweg site is well connected to Bornheim and the city centre.
- New Year’s Eve: Two shows (15:30 and 19:30). The evening show ends around 22:00 – plan travel carefully as New Year’s traffic in Frankfurt can be heavy.
- Cabaret alternative: On 31 December 2026, satire theatre Die Schmiere (Seckbächer Gasse 4) stages the Schmiere New Year’s Show “Wennnichtjetztwanndann” with special guest Horst Blue at 18:00 and 21:00 (tickets from about €28.50). Details at die-schmiere.de.
