The Greifswald Christmas Market takes place from 26 November to 21 December 2026 on the historic market square and the fish market in the heart of the Old Town. With around 35 exhibitors, a 16-metre Christmas tree and festively decorated wooden chalets, the medieval brick ensemble transforms into a atmospheric Advent setting. V., offers a quiet programme with services and activities daily from 15:00 to 18:00. On St. Nicholas Day (6 December) gifts are distributed, and on 21 December peace lights are handed out. Arts and Crafts Market in the Town Hall Cellar

On Advent weekends the arts and crafts market opens in the historic town hall cellar. Up to 60 manufacturers, studios and workshops from the region present high-quality handicrafts.
