The 44th edition of the Gurtenfestival takes place from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 July 2027. Since 2027 also marks the festival's 50th anniversary (the first edition was held in 1977), an exceptional fifth festival day returns; the Gurtenfestival normally runs for four days.

The program spans a wide range between pop, rock and hip hop, featuring international pop stars, rock bands and Swiss newcomers. Past editions have booked acts such as Lorde, Lily Allen, Kraftklub, Sean Paul, Imagine Dragons, Die Fantastischen Vier and Arctic Monkeys. The 2027 lineup is expected to be announced in spring; the forest stage traditionally remains reserved for Swiss artists.

How to Get to Gurten Mountain near Bern
The Gurten sits directly south of Bern and is best reached by the Gurtenbahn funicular from Wabern, which runs around the clock during the festival. Travelers by train benefit from expanded SBB and BLS services during peak hours; travel within Libero fare zones 100 and 101 is free with a festival ticket and wristband.
