Program and Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

After the start in the old town, the route passes through Sofienstraße and Hauptstraße to the Alte Brücke and continues through Neuenheim. Runners then climb Philosophenweg, gaining around 160 meters, followed by a forest section near Neuburg Abbey toward Ziegelhausen. On the other side of the Neckar, in Schlierbach, the course climbs steeply once more past Heidelberg Castle before the final sprint along Hauptstraße to Universitätsplatz. The Henkel Team Run over 3.1 kilometers and the Bambini Run over 1,200 meters take place alongside the main race.

Entry fees for the main race have generally ranged between 35 and 55 euros depending on when runners register, though final 2027 pricing has not yet been published.
