Welcome to the Heller Bock Tapping at Brauerei Gasthof Reblitz
In the idyllic village of Nedensdorf near Bad Staffelstein, the family run Reblitz brewery traditionally taps its heller Bock on the Friday after All Saints' Day. In 2026 that falls on November 6; the beer is then served through roughly early January 2027. The brewery dates back to 1805, when the first stone brewhouse was built in Nedensdorf, and is run today in its eighth generation by the Reblitz family.
Highlights: What Makes the Reblitz Heller Bock Special
- A house brewed, natural heller Bock at around 6.9 percent alcohol by volume
- Unfiltered, unpasteurized beers, brewed strictly under the Bavarian Purity Law
- Served exclusively at the brewery's own tavern, never bottled or sold commercially
- Views from the dining room and sunny terrace straight onto the historic brewhouse
- Franconian tavern cuisine with game, fish and vegetarian specialties as well as homemade burgers

Program and Schedule: When Is the Heller Bock Available in Nedensdorf?
Serving of the heller Bock begins on November 6, 2026, and continues as a seasonal specialty through roughly early January 2027. Unlike a one night festival, this is a multi week tapping period; the brewery has not published a specific time for the tapping ceremony itself. Guests who want to be sure the Bock is available on a particular visit are best off calling the tavern directly.
Admission and Prices
No admission is required, as this is part of the tavern's regular service. Guests only pay for the food and drinks they order; current drink prices have not been published by the brewery.
Visitor Tips: Travel and Surroundings in Nedensdorf
- Nedensdorf lies in the Lichtenfels district of Upper Franconia, in the so called "Gottesgarten am Obermain," not far from the Basilica of Vierzehnheiligen and Banz Abbey and Palace
- The Obermain-Therme spa with its sauna area is only about three kilometers away and makes a good addition to a visit
- A table reservation is not strictly required, though recommended for larger groups
- The tavern also offers guest rooms for an overnight stay in the region
