Welcome to the Holland International Blues Festival 2027 in Grolloo
The Holland International Blues Festival in Grolloo (Drenthe, Netherlands) was the international blues, country and Americana event in Blues Village. The last confirmed edition took place on 19 and 20 June 2026. No 2027 dates have been published: the organisers (MOJO) announced on 31 July 2026 that the ninth edition was the last.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The festival traditionally ran on a Friday and Saturday in June, often close to 10 June (Harry Muskee’s birthday). The last 2026 edition started at 14:00 each day. Headliners included Van Morrison, Brad Paisley, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Samantha Fish, Keb’ Mo’, Imelda May, Old Crow Medicine Show and a tribute to Harry Muskee/Cuby + Blizzards. There is no 2027 line-up or schedule because the organisation discontinued the festival after nine editions due to rising costs and attendance below the level needed to sustain the event. Always check the official website before travelling.
Tickets & Admission for Holland International Blues Festival Grolloo
No tickets are on sale for 2027. At the last 2026 edition, a day ticket cost 110 euros including fees and a weekend passe-partout cost 195 euros including fees (Ticketmaster). Entry was not free. Official channels were the festival website and Ticketmaster Netherlands. Do not buy third-party tickets for a 2027 edition unless a new event is confirmed.
Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Grolloo
- Travel: train to Assen, then bus 21 to Grolloo (Rotonde stop, about 500 m to the main entrance on Hoofdstraat). By car via the N376; free parking opposite the site.
- June in Drenthe is mild but changeable – bring a rain jacket and sturdy shoes.
- Grolloo has only a few hotels; book early in Assen, Rolde or the wider Drenthe region.
- Recommended minimum age 16; under-16s should attend with an adult. Every visitor needs a valid ticket.
- No classic on-site festival camping; plan regional lodging and same-day travel.
