Welcome to the Imago Dei 2027 in Krems
Imago Dei is the Easter and spring music festival at Klangraum Krems Minoritenkirche. Since 1999 it has brought together contemporary music, early music, sacred traditions, literature and performance in the early Gothic former Minorite Church in Krems-Stein, Austria. The 2027 edition is under the artistic direction of Albert Hosp and traditionally takes place in the weeks around Easter. Easter Sunday 2027 falls on 28 March; the exact festival dates will be announced by the organisers.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
Imago Dei 2027 follows the festival’s established rhythm: several concert evenings in the weeks before and around Easter at Klangraum Krems Minoritenkirche. Concerts usually start at 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.; each evening is typically preceded by an introduction of around 20 minutes with a talk or reading. The full 2027 programme and daily timetable will be published by the festival once the edition is presented, as in previous years.
Artistically, Imago Dei remains a dialogue between spirituality, poetry and sound: early and contemporary music from different cultures and religions, often including premieres. The 2026 edition ranged from Dowland, Bach and Mozart to tango, Corsican polyphony, Japanese koto and newly commissioned works. A similarly international, cross-genre programme is expected for 2027; details are still to be announced.
