Program
The festival typically screens well over 200 films across competitive sections, thematic strands and special programs. Beyond the screenings, the program regularly includes debates, Q&As with filmmakers, and parties and concerts. The full 2027 program is usually released a few weeks before the festival begins. Screenings generally run through the afternoon and evening, with start times roughly between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
Tickets
Ticket prices for 2027 have not yet been announced and are usually published shortly before sales open. For reference, in 2026 regular screenings cost 5 euros, discounted tickets (under 30, over 65, unemployed) cost 4 euros, and screenings at the Cinemateca Portuguesa cost 3.20 euros. Voucher booklets of 5, 10 or 20 tickets are also available at reduced rates. Sales open at the Cinema São Jorge and Culturgest box offices as well as online.
