Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Vienna
- Getting there: Vienna is well connected by rail (Wien Hauptbahnhof, Wien Westbahnhof) and Vienna Airport (CAT, S7, bus); use U-Bahn, tram and bus (Wiener Linien) between venues.
- Weather: February and March in Vienna are often cold, wet or windy – bring warm layers and sturdy shoes for walking between concert halls.
- Stay: Hotels and guesthouses in districts 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7 sit close to many venues; book early, as the period overlaps with other cultural events.
- Check the schedule: Each concert has its own venue and start time – single tickets do not cover every night unless you buy a festival pass (if offered again in 2027).
- Box office: Popular nights can sell out; buying from 1 December 2026 is more reliable than waiting until the door.
