Welcome to the Jazz in Duketown 2027 in Den Bosch
Jazz in Duketown 2027 runs from 14 to 16 May 2027 in the centre of ’s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), over the Pentecost weekend from Friday to Sunday. The organisers call it the largest free outdoor jazz festival in the Netherlands: the Markt, the Parade and other squares become stages for jazz, soul, funk and crossovers. Concerts are free to attend. The 2027 line-up has not been released yet; updates are posted at jazzinduketown.nl.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The 2027 programme has not been announced. In 2026 (22–24 May, the 52nd edition) the festival opened on Friday evening around 18:00 on the Parade; Saturday and Sunday already had sets from early afternoon, with some main-stage music until about 00:30. Saturday’s Kidzzplein on Kerkplein started around 13:30. Whether 2027 keeps those hours will only be clear once the new timetable is out – recent editions ran from around midday into the night.
Typical stages in recent years were the Markt, Parade, Kerkplein, Uilenburg, Theater aan de Parade, Podium Azijnfabriek, Willem Twee Toonzaal, De Smidse, Noordbrabants Museum and Tuin der Lusten. The 2026 bill included Chris Potter, Lakecia Benjamin, Alfredo Rodríguez, Fred Hersch, Mammal Hands, New Cool Collective, Ida Nielsen & The Funkbots, and Jeangu Macrooy with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw. Those names are not the 2027 line-up. Indoor rooms can fill up; the open-air stages are walk-up.

Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Den Bosch
- Getting there: From ’s-Hertogenbosch station it is about 500 metres, or five to six minutes, to the Markt via Stationsplein and Visstraat; the Parade by Sint-Jan is about seven minutes. NS trains link Den Bosch with Utrecht, Eindhoven, Tilburg and Amsterdam, among other cities. The festival encourages train, bus and bike. Guarded bike parking is available in the centre, including at Gasthuiskwartier. By car, Parkeergarage Paleiskwartier and the park-and-ride transferia with a direct bus into town were the advised options in the last edition; check the festival site shortly before the weekend.
- Weather: Mid-May in Den Bosch is often around 15–20 °C by day, cooler at night, with a real chance of showers. Pack layers, a light jacket and comfortable shoes for cobbles and walking between stages.
- Where to stay: Pentecost weekend fills the centre quickly. Hotels and B&Bs in the old town, including on the Markt, are within walking distance of the stages. Book early.
- On site: The free app shows set times and stage locations. Volunteers wear green festival shirts. Between sets, the Markt, the Parade and the lanes of Uilenburg are all a short walk apart.
- Planning: The 2027 line-up comes later. If you are chasing specific artists, wait for the timetable. Families usually get a Saturday-afternoon kids programme; exact 2027 times are not confirmed yet.
