Welcome to Kaiser Wiesn 2027 in Vienna
From September 23 to October 10, 2027, the Kaiserwiese in Vienna's Prater once again becomes Austria's largest traditional Oktoberfest. Over 18 days, visitors can enjoy three large festival tents, five alpine-style huts and a sprawling open-air site in the heart of Vienna. Presale for Kaiser Wiesn 2027 has already opened, with early-bird discounted tickets currently available.

Program and Schedule: When and what happens in Vienna?
The three festival tents traditionally open from Wednesday to Saturday from late morning until midnight, with some variation on other days. Daytime access to the entire festival grounds is free, so families, clubs and groups can visit the alpine huts and Wiesndorf without a ticket. A ticket is required for the evening events with live music in the tents. The detailed 2027 live program is usually published by the organizers in summer before the festival.
Tickets and Prices for Kaiser Wiesn 2027
Access to the festival grounds and alpine huts is free during the day. Tickets are only required for the evening events in the three festival tents. Presale for 2027 has already started, currently with a 30 percent early-bird discount off regular prices - exact ticket prices by tent, day and live act can be found on the official ticketing platform (wien-ticket.at). In previous years prices started at around 39 euros, but only the prices currently published on the official website are binding.
Visitor Tips: Getting There and Accommodation in Vienna
- The Kaiserwiese is located in the middle of Vienna's Prater, easily reached via U-Bahn line U2 to Praterstern station followed by a short walk
- Evenings can already be cool in late September and October, so a warm jacket is worth bringing
- Traditional dress (Tracht) is very welcome and typical at Kaiser Wiesn, though not required
- As one of Vienna's busiest dates, booking accommodation in the city early is recommended
- Those wanting a reserved table in a tent should book online, as walk-in seating can become scarce on weekends
