Welcome to the Kassel Fairy Tale Christmas Market 2026 in Kassel
From 23 November to 30 December 2026, the Kassel Fairy Tale Christmas Market transforms the city centre into a sparkling fairy-tale world. Between Königsplatz, Friedrichsplatz and Opernplatz, visitors experience a unique Advent atmosphere closely linked to the famous tales of the Brothers Grimm. In 2026 the market is dedicated to “The Brave Little Tailor”.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The market is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00, with food stalls partially open until 22:00. It remains closed from 24 to 26 December 2026. Daily highlights include musical performances, fairy-tale programmes and the spectacular flying Santa show. Friedrichsplatz and Königsplatz offer culinary delights, while Opernplatz features regional specialities and stage programmes. The Fairy-Tale Forest invites visitors to enjoy mulled wine and punch in a cosy setting.
