Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2026
The Forest Christmas at Gut Mergenthau is open on all four Advent weekends. On Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., visitors can stroll through the festively illuminated estate. In addition to crafts and culinary offerings, there is a varied supporting program with music, craft activities and animal shows.
The Christmas market on the town hall square starts on 27 November 2026 and offers treats such as waffles, crêpes and mulled wine on several days. Highlights include the opening by the mayor, dance performances, the local music band and a visit from St. Nicholas.
Forest Christmas at Gut Mergenthau 2026
For more than 30 years, the Forest Christmas has been held on the historic estate. In the old coach houses and vaulted cellars, artisans present their goods. Children enjoy pony and camel rides, archery and birds of prey shows. In the evenings, fire shows and regional music bands create a festive atmosphere. Freshly cut organic Christmas trees and fir branches can be purchased directly on site. Admission is free and parking is available at the estate.
Christmas Market Kissing at the Town Hall Square 2026
From 27 November 2026, visitors can expect a classic local Christmas market on the town hall square. Freshly baked waffles, crêpes, focaccia as well as red and white mulled wine and apple punch are on offer. The program includes dance shows, performances by the local music band and a visit from St. Nicholas. The official opening is performed by the mayor. The market offers a cozy atmosphere right in the center of the village.
Tickets & Admission for the Christmas Markets Kissing
