Welcome to the Kitzbüheler Advent 2026 in Kitzbühel
From November 18 to December 27, 2026, Kitzbühel's historic old town and its Stadtpark turn into an atmospheric Christmas market. The Kitzbüheler Advent is one of the best known Advent markets in Tyrol, combining the romantic backdrop of the Hinterstadt with traditional crafts, regional specialties and a varied program for families.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in Kitzbühel
The Kitzbüheler Advent officially opens on November 18, 2026 at 5:00 pm. On regular days, the market is open Wednesday through Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. Fixed program highlights include performances by the Wiltener Sängerknaben on November 29 at 3:00 and 4:30 pm and again on December 8 at 4:30 and 6:00 pm, the traditional Nikolaus procession in the Stadtpark on December 6 at 5:00 pm, plus craft activities such as fir branch weaving and Advent wreath making in November.
Bergadvent at the Hahnenkamm Mountain Station
In addition to the market in the town center, selected dates, including December 12 and December 19, 2026, each from 4:00 pm, bring the Bergadvent event to the mountain station of the Hahnenkammbahn cable car. The combination of a cable car ride with a festive atmosphere on the mountain makes this a popular outing for families and adds a wintry alpine perspective to the classic old town market visit.
Tickets and Admission for the Kitzbüheler Advent 2026
Visiting the Kitzbüheler Advent is free of charge, there is no admission fee. Visitors only pay at the individual stalls for food, drinks and craft items. Special opening hours apply on certain dates: December 8, and December 21 and 22 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, December 24 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and December 25 and 26 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm.
