Welcome to the K&K Christmas Market at Belvedere Palace Vienna 2026
From November 20 to December 31, 2026, the square in front of the Upper Belvedere Palace in Vienna hosts the K&K Christmas Market. Set against the Baroque facade of the palace, once the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy, the market is themed entirely around the imperial and royal era of Austria. Admission to the Christmas village is free.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect at Belvedere in 2026
The market is open Monday to Friday from 11 am to 9 pm, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 9 pm. On December 24 and 31 it closes earlier, at 5 pm. During the day, traditional music and craftsmanship set the tone, while from around 6 pm onward the market shifts into a more modern evening atmosphere with lounge, jazz and electro swing set against the imperial backdrop. A detailed lineup of individual performances had not yet been published at the time of research.
Tickets and Admission for the K&K Christmas Market 2026
Entry to the Christmas village in front of the Upper Belvedere is free, and no ticket is required. Visitors pay directly at the individual stalls for food, drinks and crafts. Set against the illuminated city hall, it features more than 100 stalls, a historic entrance arch and an ice skating rink in the adjoining Rathauspark. Admission is free, and the market is reachable via U Bahn line U2 to Rathaus station.
Christmas Market at Schönbrunn Palace
The Ehrenhof courtyard of Schönbrunn Palace hosts another imperial themed Christmas market from November 6, 2026 to January 6, 2027, with around 90 stalls. Unlike the market at Belvedere, this one takes place inside the palace's enclosed courtyard, creating a denser and quieter atmosphere. It also includes an ice rink and curling lanes. Admission is free, and the market can be reached via U Bahn line U4 to Schönbrunn station.
Christmas Market at Spittelberg
In the narrow historic lanes of the Biedermeier era Spittelberg district, a noticeably smaller and more intimate market runs from November 13 to December 23, 2026. It focuses strongly on handmade crafts as well as sustainable, regional and organic products, setting it apart from the large crowds at Rathausplatz. Spittelberg is reachable via U Bahn line U3 to Volkstheater station.
