Welcome to the Klassik am Odeonsplatz 2027 in Munich

Klassik am Odeonsplatz is Munich’s largest and most prestigious open-air classical music event and takes place on 10 and 11 July 2027 on the historic Odeonsplatz. Organised by the City of Munich and Bavarian Radio, one of Europe’s most beautiful squares is transformed into an open-air concert hall on two summer evenings. Concerts start at 20:00 and end around 22:15 each night.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027

On two evenings in July the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Philharmonic alternate with top-class soloists and conductors. Exact programmes and line-ups for 2027 will be announced during the season; previous years featured works by Gershwin, Wagner, Bruch, Mendelssohn and other major composers. Doors usually open at 18:30, concerts begin at 20:00 with an intermission of approximately 35 minutes. The event takes place even in rain; cancellation due to extreme weather only occurs on site if necessary.

Ticket prices typically range from €21 to €129 including booking fees (categories 1–7). Advance sales usually start in October/November of the previous year. Interested visitors can already register on the official website for the 2027 pre-sale and receive priority ordering rights. Visitor Tips: Travel & Accommodation in Munich

• Travel exclusively by public transport is recommended: U-Bahn lines U3/U4/U5/U6, stop Odeonsplatz. The ticket serves as an MVV ticket in zones M–6 (outbound from 15:00, return until 06:00 the following day).
• No parking available at Odeonsplatz – arriving by car is not advisable.
• Bring weather-appropriate clothing; the event takes place even in rain. Bags max. DIN A4 size, no bulky items, umbrellas or folding stools.
• Book accommodation in the Old Town or near Odeonsplatz early, as the event is in high demand.
