Program and Schedule: What to Expect at Albisgütli

The actual shooting competition takes place during the day at the range, while the colourful funfair unfolds all around it. On Saturday the festival grounds are open from 10:00 to 01:30, on Sunday from 11:00 to 00:30, and on Monday, traditionally the highlight of the event, from 11:00 to 23:00. On the opening day, a parade of youth marching bands moves through the city and ends with a concert on the square.

Tickets and Admission for Knabenschiessen Zurich

Entry to the Albisgütli funfair is completely free. Costs only apply to individual rides, food and games, which are paid for directly at the stands and attractions. Visitor Tips: Travel and Accommodation in Zurich

  • Public transport is strongly recommended, since parking near Albisgütli is very limited
  • Take the S Bahn to Zurich Saalsporthalle, the tram to Laubegg, or the bus to Strassenverkehrsamt
  • A dense night network runs on weekends, bringing visitors back to the city centre even late at night
  • Accommodation in Zurich should be booked well ahead given the large crowds
  • Arriving early helps you avoid the longest queues at the rides and stalls
