Welcome to the La Guitarra Esencial 2027 in Millstatt
The 20th International Guitar Festival La Guitarra Esencial takes place from 3 to 9 August 2027 as a special anniversary edition in Millstatt am See. Under the artistic direction of Julia Malischnig, the festival presents outstanding guitarists and ensembles from classical, jazz, flamenco and world music in a unique lakeside setting in Carinthia.

Program & Schedule: What to Expect in 2027
The festival spans several days with evening concerts (usually starting at 20:00) as well as morning concerts and matinees. Typical venues include the Abbey Church of Millstatt for opening and sacred programmes, the Congress House for main concerts and the Barbara-Egger-Park for the festive open-air finale. The programme connects classical guitar, flamenco, jazz and global sound traditions into an intercultural dialogue. Detailed artist line-ups and daily schedules will be announced closer to the date.

Individual tickets are expected to range from approximately 30 to 45 euros depending on the concert and category (based on previous years’ prices).
