Welcome to La Notte Rosa 2027 on the Riviera Romagnola

In early July, the Italian Adriatic coast traditionally celebrates its "Summer New Year". La Notte Rosa (The Pink Night) is Italy's biggest summer festival. During this weekend, 110 kilometers of coastline – from the beaches of Emilia-Romagna to the Marche region, with its epicenter in Rimini – is bathed in bright pink light. Streets, squares, hotels, and landmarks are illuminated in pink, while hundreds of thousands of visitors wearing pink clothing celebrate life, music, and summer.

Highlights

  • 110 kilometers of pink coast: All towns along the Riviera Romagnola (including Rimini, Riccione, Cattolica, and Cesenatico) take part.
  • Synchronized midnight fireworks: On Friday night at exactly midnight, the sky over the entire coast is lit up by massive, pink-themed fireworks displays.
  • Free open-air concerts featuring top national and international artists in major squares (such as Piazzale Fellini in Rimini).
  • Beach parties, street theater, and DJ sets lasting into the early hours of the morning.
  • Pink illuminated landmarks, like the Grand Hotel or the Tiberius Bridge in Rimini.

Program

The festival spans the first weekend of July, with Friday, July 2, 2027, being the main event day. From 6:00 PM, the streets begin to fill up, and the official concerts on the big stages usually start around 9:00 PM. The absolute highlight is at midnight on Friday, when the enormous fireworks display is launched simultaneously along the entire coast. On Saturday (July 3) and Sunday (July 4), the festival continues with more concerts, beach activities, special pink menus in restaurants, and traditional sunrise concerts on the beach.

Tickets

Participation in La Notte Rosa, including the large public concerts and the fireworks, is completely free of charge (€0.00). However, special events in indoor nightclubs, private beach parties, or tables at exclusive restaurants may require an entrance fee or reservation. The main attractions of the street festival do not require any tickets.

Safety & Rules

  • Expect extremely heavy traffic throughout the weekend; coastal roads (Lungomare) are often closed to cars.
  • The sale of drinks in glass bottles outdoors is prohibited in most municipalities for safety reasons.
  • Keep a close eye on your valuables in the dense crowds at concerts and parties.
  • Extra security personnel and medical first aid tents are stationed along the entire promenade.

Visitor Tips

  • Dress code Pink: Make sure to pack something pink! Whether it's a t-shirt, hat, or sunglasses – almost every visitor dresses according to the theme.
  • Book accommodation early: Hotels along the entire Riviera Romagnola are often completely booked out months in advance.
  • Use the Metromare (TRC) (the rapid transit bus between Rimini and Riccione) or regional trains to avoid traffic jams.
  • Make sure to stay on the beach until sunrise after the concerts – waiting for the morning sun together is a beloved Notte Rosa tradition.
