Welcome to La Strada Graz 2026
From 31 July to 8 August 2026, La Strada turns Graz city centre and the surrounding region into a stage under the open sky for nine days. The international festival for street art, contemporary circus, puppet theatre, object theatre and urban dance takes over squares, parks and unusual locations across the city. Under the theme "take part", La Strada 2026 invites audiences more than ever to become co creators through workshops and participatory projects.

Program
The festival opens on 31 July as well as 1 and 2 August at 7:30 PM at Oper Graz with "Möbius", a fusion of acrobatics, dance and poetry by the nineteen member Collectif XY. In the circus tent at Reininghaus, Circus Ronaldo performs "Da Capo" from 1 to 8 August (except 4 August) at 8:00 PM, telling the story of a circus family. Daily street performances at Hauptplatz, Karmeliterplatz and Freiheitsplatz bring surprises to public space, many of them free to attend. From 2 to 5 August, Minoritenhof becomes an open air concert hall from 7:30 PM, with concerts starting at 8:00 PM. The Botanical Garden and Augarten also host their own productions.
Tickets
Most performances in public space are free of charge. Tickets are needed for the major stage productions: "Möbius" at Oper Graz costs between 46 and 79 euros depending on category (reduced from 23 euros), "Da Capo" in the circus tent costs 39 euros (reduced 33 euros), "SCUSE" at Next Liberty costs 25 euros (reduced 20 euros), and the evening concerts in Minoritenhof cost a flat 15 euros. Tickets are available through lastrada.at and oeticket; advance sales close two hours before each performance.
Visitor Tips
- If you would rather not buy tickets, nine days of free programming await in public spaces across the city.
- Book tickets for Oper Graz and the circus tent early, as these shows sell out fast.
- In case of bad weather, Minoritenhof concerts move to the Minoritensaal.
- Wear comfortable shoes, as venues are spread across the whole city centre.
- Even without a planned visit, a stroll through downtown Graz can lead straight into a performance.
