Welcome to the Leeds International Film Festival 2026 in Leeds
From October 29 to November 15, 2026, Leeds celebrates the 40th edition of the Leeds International Film Festival, known as LIFF. Spread across 18 days, cinemas throughout the city screen well over 250 films from more than 100 countries, making it one of the largest events of its kind in the United Kingdom.

Program and Schedule: What to Expect in Leeds
The festival traditionally runs for 18 days across several cinemas in Leeds, including Hyde Park Picture House, Cottage Road Cinema, Vue in The Light, Everyman and the Howard Assembly Room. Alongside feature premieres and documentaries, the schedule includes short film blocks, filmmaker talks and the various competition award ceremonies. The full 2026 program will be announced in October.
Tickets and Admission for the Leeds International Film Festival
Exact 2026 ticket prices have not yet been confirmed. For reference, in 2025 a feature film ticket cost the equivalent of around 12 euros, with a concession rate of about 10 euros, while short film programs were around 11 euros, or 9 euros concession. Alongside single tickets, the festival offers ticket bundles and a festival pass for those planning to see many films.
