Welcome to Les Vieilles Charrues 2027
From 15 to 18 July 2027, the small Breton town of Carhaix-Plouguer once again becomes the largest music stage in France. Les Vieilles Charrues, France's biggest music festival, celebrates its 35th edition at the legendary Site de Kerampuilh. More than 280,000 festival-goers from across Europe enjoy four days of rock, pop, rap, electronic and world music across six stages. The festival is 100% non-profit, run by thousands of volunteers.

Programme 2027
The official 2027 line-up is typically announced in autumn 2026, with headliners revealed in waves through to spring 2027. Les Vieilles Charrues are known for an eclectic mix of international rock legends, major French rap and chanson artists, and regional Breton acts. Past headliners include Katy Perry, Nick Cave, Orelsan, Aya Nakamura, Mika, Jean-Louis Aubert and Gims. The full programme will be published at vieillescharrues.asso.fr.
Tickets & Prices
The 2027 ticket sale usually opens in October of the previous year, exclusively via the official festival website. Important: no official tickets are sold on Ticketmaster or Fnac; any tickets found there are counterfeit. Prices for 2027 have not yet been announced. For reference, the 2026 tariffs were as follows:
- Day ticket Thursday: from €61
- Day ticket Friday/Saturday/Sunday: from €52
- 3-day pass (Thu-Fri-Sat): from €149
- 3-day pass (Fri-Sat-Sun): from €144
- 4-day pass: from €196
- Children up to 14 years receive a 50% discount
- Instalment payment in 3 interest-free parts available (Regular rate, 3-day and 4-day passes)
Two pricing tiers go on sale simultaneously: the limited Presto rate (lower preferential price) and the Regular rate. In 2026, all 4-day passes sold out within 24 hours, so act fast when tickets go on sale.
Camping
On-site camping is free for all ticket and pass holders (reservation required from June). The campsite is open from Thursday to Monday. Only 3- and 4-day pass holders may re-enter the festival grounds freely; day ticket holders cannot re-enter after leaving. A premium Noz Kamp option with lodges and private facilities is also available.
Getting There
- Train: TGV to Brest or Rennes, then regional train or bus to Carhaix. Special shuttle buses run during the festival.
- Plane: Brest Bretagne or Rennes Saint-Jacques airports, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours from Carhaix.
- Car: On-site parking is available but limited; carpooling is strongly recommended.
Visitor Tips
- Buy tickets as soon as the sale opens; 4-day passes typically sell out on the first day.
- Book accommodation in Carhaix and the surrounding area at least 6 months in advance; hotels were fully booked by February in 2026.
- The festival site is cashless; all payments are made via NFC wristband (Moneiz). Load credit in advance.
- Mobile networks can be overwhelmed with 55,000 simultaneous visitors; consider a backup eSIM.
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Use the official festival ticket exchange if needed.
- Awareness teams are present on site to assist with any safety concerns.
